I am a husband, father, grandfather, rock climber, knuckle dragger(snowboarder), skier, mountain biker, hunter and a fisher. I love to spend time with family and friends and to share my passion for the outdoors with them.

I have worked in construction related positions for most of my adult life. I started my career as a union sheet metal worker early on and logged almost 20 years in that field. This was a good starting point. Working in any of the trades gives you a comprehensive understanding of all the different construction processes.

Later in life I chose to change course and pursue sales and customer service positions. This was a great way to understand how people communicate and provided a basis for understanding how to ask the right questions to understand what people really want.

My next career move was to build houses. I started my general contracting business in 2004 and worked primarily building infill homes in Minneapolis. I have always appreciated the style of older homes but also prefer the amenities of newer style homes. My goal was to build spaces that are efficient, not excessive; offer modern day conveniences; and are functional yet stylish.

I moved to Spokane in 2016 with my wife and since then we have fallen in love with Spokane and the surrounding area. In 2019 we decided to purchase a vacant lot in Spokane and have since built our own home, a garage ADU. We are currently living comfortably in a space that is a one bedroom apartment over a garage. The combined total space of the garage and apartment is about 900 sq feet. It’s not a tiny home but it is designed with function at the forefront and is very efficient and lives out well. 

I have visited several countries in Europe over the last several years and quickly noticed that many of the European communities tend to favor smaller and efficient, rather than larger and excessive. Whether cars or homes, the trend is to do more with less. That resonated with me and has helped me to think in terms of smaller, more efficient spaces.

I love the design process and I really enjoy working with my clients to design their home, exactly the way they want it!
